30/05/2024

Did you know that tooth decay is the most common chronic disease worldwide? Unfortunately, not all countries are equipped to handle this epidemic, making dental care a luxury not everyone can afford.

We're going to take a look at the worst countries in the world, dental-wise.

Fifth Place: Poland

With one of the highest caries indexes globally, Poland ranks fifth for worst dental care globally. Not only that, but Poland also has a poor record of oral hygiene measures, making dental care a concern for their entire population, even with advanced dental treatments.

Fourth Place: Bolivia

Bolivia is located in the center of South America, and research shows that about 50% of the students in schools lack a dental brush; also, the country has the worst oral hygiene ranking globally.

Third Place: Australia

Australia ranks third on our worst dental care countries list. Statistics show that 50% of children from the age of four to fifteen years old have bad oral hygiene and multiple tooth problems, so it's no surprise that dental care is lacking.

Second Place: India

India is a vast country, with over a billion and a half people, so you can imagine the level of dental care needed.

Unfortunately, India has a bad record when it comes to dental care, with 95% of adults suffering from gum problems. Additionally, 50% of the country's population is not convinced that they need to brush their teeth. Furthermore, 70% of Indian children under the age of fifteen have dental problems.

First Place: The Philippines

The Philippines takes the number one spot for countries with the worst dental care. Approximately 90% of their population has dental problems with their teeth and bad oral hygiene. Almost 100% of children aged three to five have dental caries, making dental care a significant concern.

Wrapping Up

Dental care is essential for maintaining healthy teeth and an attractive smile. These five countries need to take dental hygiene seriously and start educating their population about the benefits of clean teeth. Let's hope that measures are taken soon to improve oral health and create a brighter, healthier smile worldwide.
